Aurelius Whiskerbottom began as a small ink drawing for Inktober. Four years later, he's the hero of a 30,000-word middle-grade fantasy novel — and the heart of an enchanted woodland world filled with animal folk, sprites, fairies, wizards, and things that glow in the dark.
The illustrations here were born alongside the story: some inspired directly by scenes in the book, others simply explorations of the world Aurelius calls home.
"Aurelius Whiskerbottom: The Journey to Save the Starbloom" is a complete manuscript, written and illustrated by Erin Garlinghouse, and is available upon request."
